AB trying to make his case today and it resulted in the Bucs cutting him and Arians doubling down and saying AB was complaining about the lack of passes coming his way

I think i wish they would have lost by blowout instead of the way it went down.

Big questions in the offseason:

Brady
Gronk
Godwin
Gholston
Fournette
Suh
Jensen
JPP

They need to keep Jensen Godwin and Fournette if Tom is going to play. And if he doesn’t, Gronk will be gone. I think those defensive guys could be replaced

Disagree--the ending was a heartbreaker but the 4th quarter was fun as hell and way better than getting blown out.

Not sure about this but I think they're expected to have around 20M in cap space. A lot of it hinges on Tom, of course--if he leaves I have to figure that they're in immediate rebuild mode. I think he's slightly more likely to leave now that they didn't get blown out, it wouldn't be a terrible end to his career, but who knows, he's said he wants to end it after a SB win and they could potentially take another shot with their defense and O-line. I agree that they need to keep Jensen and Godwin. Not sure about Fornette, he's due for a raise and running back is so iffy. I'd rather they keep JPP.

Informative article about Bucs free agents, etc. Looks like they only have 10.5million in cap space. Also sounds like gronk is waiting on Brady

Interesting. OverTheCap has them projected for 19 million, and there's another site with 14 million. No idea how anyone is arriving at those numbers and not motivated enough to learn.

Yeah there's still a great core their that they can win with, but I think it would take a veteran QB, not a rookie or second year.

If Brady leaves, stopgap veteran? What do you do with Kyle Trask? He's definitely not ready, will he ever be?

Trask will stay if Arians stays, I guess he likes him as a project, but yeah he's not ready. Some kind of veteran, I guess. Although I don't know who.

The one thing about Brady staying or leaving is that he seems to have a sense of loyalty to the guys he won it all with last year, getting some of them to re-sign, etc. I feel like he isn't the kind of dude that would just abandon that now. He knows Trask is a project and one more year under him could set the Bucs up decently for the future, and he said how much he loves playing with Mike Evans. I know there are rumors and he isn't being straightforward, but I also feel like he needs a farewell season. And I don't see them falling off so much that they don't make the playoffs next year. The NFC South is pretty bad outside of the Bucs.

I'd love to see A. Rodgers step in if Brady walks away.

I've heard this floated, but ARod doesn't want to follow in his footsteps and then be criticized if he can't win it all like Brady did.
