Not with mayo. I grew up in New England and I have no clue where the cold lobster roll 'New England' moniker came from. Cut and toasted hot-dog bun is a NE thing but lobster rolls are fresh-as-can-be lobster and butter, that's it; in my book anyway.

Yeah, the right of way goes bike > foot > vehicle on most of their urban streets. Sounds like the wife was hard done by and you dun goofed. Happens.

All of the lobster rolls i had were delicious. Not sure about elsewhere, but every time I’m in Maine the only way they are served is cold with Mayo. But lightly and nothing else on it but maybe some seasoning. On the toasted bread bun of course. Some of you need to be willing to open your palate up a little bit and stop thinking of things as gross. There are plenty of foods where the texture may not be appealing but it is actually delicious.

I think what Ruddo means is that some of you only ever hit it missionary with the lights out, and it really shows.

It’s not the texture of mayonnaise that’s disgusting, it’s the taste.
