Looks like he left after season 4, which leaves 5 great seasons unaccounted for

The Office is the only one that holds up, and you should still consider watching it.
30 Rock was great in its era but feels really dated now.
Parks & Rec mostly sucks. There are some side characters and guest stars that are really funny.
When reading this post it's important to remember that it's author is a devoted fan of SNL.

I mean when he took over as sole showrunner in season 13. He was the show runner for like 20 years

Oh, I don't know my Simpsons history very well. Interesting.
Speaking from a place of ignorance I would only say that by season 13 the show had already been bad for 2 seasons.

Now I feel like I'd like to read a history of the Simpsons.

Many of us here are of the opinion that it is superior to The Office.
I'm on board with that...more often than not I find the Michael Scott cringe stuff more obnoxious than funny.

I think my NBC golden age rankings would be:
Parks and Rec
Community
30 Rock
The Office

The Office is way too low.
But also it's hard to talk about an NBC "golden age" without talking about (at least) Seinfeld, Wings, Friends, Frasier, Mad About You, and Will and Grace.

I think the post-Carell years tanks The Office. And I guess I meant “golden age for Millenials”

I specified their aughts golden age in my post.
Also, I don't consider The Office to be bad, it's just not as good as 30 Rock or Parks and Rec.

I think season 8 is actually pretty strong. James Spader is fantastic, as is Gabe. Season 9 is absolutely terrible, though.

I like 30 Rock a lot. Warts and all.
