Ed's the hero here. I think he saves this. Doesn't save it from accusations of cheesy, 80s, etc., there's no ducking that stuff. It's there. But I think it's okay, and it's mostly his work here that makes it okay.

What the fuck pearl jam.
Yes, yes it does.

Dawson's Creek soundtrack material.
Which kind of sums up how dated this tune sounds.
Dated it is. I don't think this can be denied. The solo manages to date it even more.

No, they weren't.
Yes, they were. Cheesy as hell, but very inventive and interesting as well. I'm more trying to defend the possible quality of cheese than bash Pink Floyd. But let's not be stupid and say they weren't excessively produced.
Well, considering their albums sound quite a bit like their live show, I'm gonna say they aren't overproduced at all, til maybe the post Waters albums. Well structured, often lengthy tunes, with keyboard doesn't immediately mean overproduced.
Cheesy? I suppose if you have shitty taste.

My wife is going to love this one. Me? Eh...aside from how Eddie sounds I'm a bit fence bound. Like sitting right in the middle of it, having my balls destroyed by the pickets. Ed does sound great, though. So there's that.

In every way but lyrically, this song has more in common with other artists than it does with 1991-2006 Pearl Jam.
That's what throws me so much...I have no more reaction to it than I do to the stuff that plays over the intercom at my dentist's office. I don't hate it, I don't dislike it, I don't enjoy it....I don't feel anything.

Eddie's delivery is the one thing that is above good on this.

Its like Inside Job, Turning Mist, I dont want to miss a thing and Richie Sambora all got together, had lots of anal sex with BOB cuddling all of them afterwards and came up with Sirens.

I love the 'Mats but, come on, it's all old songs. If PJ pulled that shit this board would have a collective heart attack.

The production sounds very Ten, it's just that the chords don't.
Matt's drums sound like Dave Krusen's.

When he goes falsetto it kind of reminds me of Gary Barlow.
