It really doesn’t matter; polling continues to show that Barr/Trump’s handling of the report has done as much as any other thing to solidify in public opinion that the administration is not innocent. A press conference and late release are the best way for them to ensure that this continues to hang over their heads like a never ending rain cloud.

This makes more sense to me, given the White House’s public sweat stains today.

Ok, I’m confused. If the Mueller report totally exonerated Trump and proved there was no collusion, why is it now a hoax? He’s calling information that he said proves he’s innocent false and harassment. He is truly the definition of a buffoon.

Pretty absurd display, which won’t do much to change people’s perceptions and further ensures Barr’s name coming up quite a lot in the future as an example of how AG’s shouldn’t handle things.

The full report is just “everything was very legal and very cool” and then 400 pages of Astrix comics. I dunno. Seems weird.

So the basic story of this whole episode is that Trump is so dumb and insecure he attempted (arguable whether he did or not) to obstruct justice even though he had no reason to.

Also, Barr's claim that no obstruction charges had nothing to do with the policy of not being able to indict a sitting president is at odds with the report. The report says Mueller and his team used that policy as a starting point so it clearly colored their investigation. It will be interesting to see how Nadler and others interpret this portion of the investigation. I think that was Mueller's way of putting the obstruction ball in Congress' hands.
