So...he made “efforts to influence the investigation” but that’s not obstruction? Huh?

I have to say, the fact that the campaign was not prosecutable for conspiracy or coordination because everyone involved was just really incompetent is the most fitting possible ending to this whole thing.

So Trump repeatedly asked Flynn to acquire the Clinton emails. Flynn reached out to Smith, who then created a shell company for the purpose of acquiring the e-mails. Smith later emailed that he had contacted hackers with “ties and affiliations to Russia.”

Donald Trump narrowly managed an electoral victory against a historically unpopular candidate, with the benefit of a decades-in-the-making, well-connected underground conservative electioneering team who are now in prison...but tell me again how he’s going to win re-election.

For all the bellyaching over the past two years about Fake News, it's notable how much of the findings we already knew about. Which ironically serves to dull the impact of the report somewhat; imagine if nobody knew any of what was revealed in the obstruction findings.

Am I basically reading it right in saying that Mueller's reason for not considering indicting Trump for obstruction is that indicting a president would be a massive, massive shitshow?
