love the trade for steve downie. i had enough of talbot at this point, he's not really a full time 3rd line player. he'll be good on colorado though. hopefully downie plays w/ giroux.
Downie's an idiot, see tonight's game. I think this was more a dressing room kind of deal. If so, Colorado got the best of this one.

How did Emery get the 3rd star of the game last night? He gave up 4 goals on 15 shots.

lol at thinking swapping a first line, PPG winger who averages >20 minutes a night and is locked up at a great price for the next four years for a #5 defenseman who averages fifteen minutes a night (SPOILER ALERT: that's last amongst ALL philly defensemen by over three minutes) and plays against the oppositions' third and fourth lines is a good deal
just lol

those must be this years stats, b/c luke schenn was one of the best dmen on the flyers last year and consistently played against top lines. they have been so bad this year im not even sure where to start. and jvr was never that good on the flyers, you know this. that trade was the best thing that could have happened to his career. some times players need a change of scenery.

I don't understand the clamor amongst the media to suspend Emery. He got into a fight, if being a douche bag was suspension worthy, guys would be suspended every night.

Well there you go, obviously that means he should be one of the stars! He was named a star because the guy picking them thought it would be hilarious.

"he got into a fight" is a very short-sighted way of looking at a guy skating down the ice and beating a guy who didn't want to fight.

Well obviously. He was also wrong. And he made it clear that he's an unprofessional idiot.
