stfu pete. you know as well as anybody that talking about general theories is a little different than taking something from an article regarding one of the major storylines of the entire series.
how is it different? the article is talking about a general theory too; just because it's "in print" doesn't make it any more legitimate than any other theory. furthermore, as i've said to you before, i was aware of the theory before the article; i just lazily choose to use that article instead of typing out the theory.
Meh, I don't want to go down this road again. You and I obviously disagree. For major plot points, I would just rather be surprised or piece it together myself than read about the possibility ahead of time (on a Pearl Jam board no less). It certainly takes a lot of steam out of it if I know of the possibility and it actually plays out that way. It's almost as if I'm now looking for it.

So people can't make predictions because if they're right it'll lessen the dramatic impact?

so this is considered making a prediction in your book?

he's predicting that jon snow is actually a targaryen

maybe he could have been more clear and not stated it as fact, but that doesn't change anything

so people can make predictions all they want. but is it really that hard to hit the spoiler tag when doing so? I'm not the only one that feels this way, and it's really not asking a lot. but for you and spike, it's now about proving a point than anything else.

i confess, i have no idea to what specifically you're referring regarding your post. this all started with spike's post, and some people got all apoplectic because of the suggestion that it should've been spoilered. i thought it was a fairly harmless request. but others evidently didn't think so (hence the incessant references to me and predictions in the last 3 or so pages).

i had nothing to do with others beating a dead horse the past week or so regarding making predictions.

What do you want people to post in this thread, chrish2? Variations of "That was awesome," and nothing else?
