I haven't yet heard this album but fuck me if I don't love your passion.

I really like the opener Age Of Anxiety I.
The first half is close to becoming a Coldplay song but its restraint its what makes it good. And then the latter half becomes this groovy disco thing i really like.

I'm a *little* bit disappointed that there aren't more live drums in AoA 2; I understand using that techno snare but I would have mixed it in lower alongside a real snare (I know real drums come in later but yeah)

This album seems to distil all of their previous albums into a short concise listen, without the highs. I hope it reveals more over the next few listens.

First thought: Not what I expected after Lightning I/II. Needs to sit with me for a while. A bit disappointed there are not more songs like Lightning I/II because it's a style they excel in. I wouldn't mind at all if they dropped their electronic songs completely. (This comes from a huge Reflektor fan)
First rating:
Lightning I/II
End of Empire I-III
We
Age Of Anxiety I/II
Lookout Kid
End Of Empire IV
Race And Religion (Not a fan of Regine at all)

Finally got some listens in to this yesterday. Love it so far. Was not a fan of their trajectory following The Suburbs. But, this one is finally scratching that Arcade Fire itch for me again. Guess it’s a good thing how short is - leaves me wishing for more.
Will definitely try to see them on this tour.

sometimes I find The Empire songs a drag to get through before the triumphant Lightning and Unconditional, but other times I love them (the first one or two parts are really sad / depressing)

I was today old when I learned that "My Body is a Cage" is a cover originally by Peter Gabriel

i found another interview on the internet website YouTube.com
the more I listen to Win, I'm kinda annoyed by the way he pronounces "sh" sounds.. and I noticed he sings like that too

I don't hear any unusual "sh"es on this song, but I'll keep an ear out
