So far i feel this....Retrograde might warm on me...ND is just another of those Ed´s songs i dont care with much better production so i might not hate it that much with time

I just can't believe they were able to make this. It's certainly not perfect, but it shows a band that is still trying new things, while also resting on their strengths.

Yeah, I haven't listened to the album yet but if this is truly the 'weakest' song on the album, I'll be quite elated. It's grown on me tremendously since the first listen

I'm just starting, but this is really good. Amazing production that allows all of them to breathe, Matt sounds amazing, NOT compressed (thanks BOB), and they sound different, and experimental, with layers. Sounds like they really went for it. Awesome.

I just think the album suffers from probably one too many of that kind of song. Who Ever Said and Never Destination fill that slot nicer for me.

Look there are nicer ways to say that, but I can't blame the guy. I'm sure this is frustrating for the band. We're just at cross purposes here.

You can't blame him? For threatening to kick fans out of the 10C for sharing the band's new music, the leaking of which has nothing to do with them?

What's done is done, surely it's wiser to harness that excitement and run with it.

Like I said, there are nicer ways to say that, or possibly even approach it, but they had a roll out planned and wanted to control the way they introduced everyone to the music. It's a giant spoiler of sorts.

I listened, and it's not necessarily how I would handle things, but at a point the guy is doing his job.

Is kicking fans out of the 10C a proportionate and reasonable response to that?

They didn't leak it, they're just excited about hearing the band's new tunes, like all of us.

I have no problem with them not encouraging sharing of the link publicly on the board but getting all heavy-handed on fans is just mind-boggling counter-productive when you should be grateful for any degree of enthusiasm shown by fans towards the new album.

There were a lot of chances for this to leak--listening party, reviews getting out in the last week, having to prepare the Atmos mix for theaters, surely got to hundreds or thousands of employees by now, and we're also in unprecedented circumstances where everyone is home, and there are a lot of people who came into contact with this, e.g. movie theater employees, DJs, record label people who may be laid off soon :/

I don't think it sounds at all like the songs it's compared to. It has a sense of urgency/momentum/propulsion that is just leagues beyond. It feels breathless and out of control in a really great way, to my tastes.
