I was looking at this chart on 538 (there are more Presidents if you want to go look), but it occurs to me, we have never been impressed with a President once they started working. It's always just a downward slide. GHW Bush had pretty decent numbers throughout his term, and we were like "Fuck him! We're voting in Clinton. Fuck Clinton! We immediately hate Clinton WAY more!"
