They... didn't... want... the... new... episode... competing... with... the... movie...

"Dude, it's time to go see Rise of Skywalker! I bought these tickets on Fandango months ago!"

"Fuck that, man! The Mandalorian is available, and I can only watch that, literally, any time before and/or after I watch that movie. We're staying home!"

I'm just glad B's finally putting his Masters Degree in Marketing to good use.

Watching episodes 6 and 7 now. The first is about halfway through, and just ok. Feels lile a low budget action movie.

My plan is to watch (the rest of) ep 5, 6 & 7 tonight after work. The wife is teaching and I have the apartment to myself.

Tacos and Mandalorian, baby!

Hey, Disney's not batting a thousand on this Star Wars stuff, so don't shame me.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

I do understand wanting to put all the focus on the film this weekend, though. Moving The Mandalorian to wed was good call. Not because it ties in any way but because it's best not to have one product overshadow another.

People seem to adore this last ep. Many are calling it the best so far. So now people get to consume that, talk about it for a few days without dealing with the new movie, and take that excitement/momentum into a theater. It was a good call.

The series has felt like a slow burn but this last one is deadly serious and hopefully what’s going to go down more in season two

The last episode was good. Felt like a continuation of the first three episodes.

I was surprised at the passage of time being mentioned because so far the show's given you no indication of that. figured these adventures were all pretty closely placed but I guess traveling through space takes up a lot of time.

also anyone with a kid knows you don't leave them alone anywhere, and based on said passage of time he should have already known that. still a funny moment though.

Pure goofy but the bit when his adorable little head pops down from the ceiling upside down and he’s eavesdropping is just so funny. Death by adorbz

you're not wrong there, it was captivating to see the choices he made.
Can we point to a performance by him that is any different? Besides Action Jackson I know he won the Oscar for that one.

Episode 7 was pretty good. I was actually getting nervous when Kuill was racing back to the ship and the speeders were trying to catch him. Then, well, what happens next is pretty sad.

Which means I was invested in Kuill and baby yoda. So I guess the show is kinda working.

Maybe the forest episode wasn't so much a filler as it was to get us to care a bit more for Cara Dune for these last few episodes.
