There were recaps on Disney+ in preparation for S2, but if you are starting from S1 it does not require previous knowledge to fully understand and appreciate the show

It was getting late and I was nodding off. I didn’t realize what time it was when I started ep 7 else I prob wouldn’t have started it.

I'm 8 episodes in and loving it.

It's kind of hard to believe that a show like this exists with everything Star Wars/Disney has got going on these days
