I refuse to make this personal, but I'm asking if someone with x/y chromosomes on that last pair is a biological male (gender aside). Assuming this person has a penis, testicles, prostate, no uterus... at birth.

Is there no difference between gender and biological sex? Is biological sex a made up term?

there is nothing biological or anatomical that should determine M or F

when a person says there is, it's an opinion; it's an opinion because there are other, better ways of doing this

I believe that "biological sex" is a social construct, and all it is is the various ways we apply gender to bodies (ours and/or other people's)

gender and sex are different in the sense that my body doesn't determine my gender

they're the same in the sense that if I'm a woman, my body is a female body, no matter what bits and bobs it's got

Biological sex is a scientific term, though, not a social construct. Gender can be fluid, obviously.

science is a number of frameworks and languages we use to describe observable phenomenon; life comes first, science is how we frame it; so science changes and evolves as human society does and we learn more

like I said, I'm a physically disabled person who is transitioning, and none of my doctors have any confusion about how to treat me

I think the terms are arbitrary and mean nothing

social construct isn't the same as grey area

"science" is the frame; other stuff is the picture

we didn't paint the picture, but we used the frame to make sense of it
