Did they charge you this month or are they waiting till the first or something? They charged me this month and said I could get the FJM but I suppose we'll see. The gentleman i was emailing with took a liking to me i think. He has friends near where I live.

The never charged me. They told me I missed the billing period and would charge me when they mailed out March's offer. Which is a record I'm really not thrilled about. Apparently, they bill on the 10th of each month.

I've asked them to cancel my plan. Which is maybe a dick move on my part. But I really wanted the FJM and I really don't want the March record. So, it's probably best to call this game.

Besides, I'm really not in a place right now where I should be dropping an unnecessary $27 a month. Hopefully, they don't have to go to too much trouble to cancel my shit. Oh well.

It's possible. I was on the fence about joining in the first place. It's really more about the cost than anything. Don't get me wrong, it's totally affordable under normal circumstances. But it was an impulse buy on my part. I got swept up in this thread! I shouldn't have pulled the trigger.

I should be more open minded but I don't like anything I've heard by J Dilla. So I can't imagine I'll start with this one. But who knows.

I'm not opposed to the genre in general. But I'm really not a fan of the artist. And I didn't see anything in their past that was similar to this. Didn't expect it at all.

Totally out of the blue. It just knocked me on my ass a little. Ill give it a go for a few months and see how it all goes. The record archive had numerous tha tI wouldnt mind having in my collection but may not always have the impulse to go and search for it.

they are selling the fjm as part of the march 'add-ons' they do. an email went out today (that also announced the march release). i can see them saying no to you for feb for billing reasons, but if you are a member you should be able to pick it up on their webstore; i'm surprised they wouldn't offer you that option. maybe email and ask if you can do it as an "add-on" to your march shipment?

i haven't knowingly heard j dilla at all, and after reading about the album on wikipedia (he had been diagnosed with a blood disease, worked on the record in the hospital, and died 3 days after its release; adult swim used many tracks for its bumpers) i am sufficiently curious to hear it.

Dilla's Donuts is one of the best records of the past ten years. I really don't understand subscription services, can't yall just get loaded and hit discogs?

see, i most likely wouldn't buy or listen to j dilla or 'donuts' if it weren't for the vmp subscription. i joined for the opportunity to hear records i probably wouldn't hear but maybe should. in that regard, vmp has been pretty good. the ben webster lp a couple months back is a fantastic 50s jazz record i'm pretty sure i'd never have listened to otherwise.

Thats why im giving this a go. There was an R.L. Burnside record a couple months back? Would have loved to received that as a nice little surprise.
