Watched the episode off of dvr in about 20 minutes; don't feel like I missed anything. I know the show is building to all out war but certainly taking it's time.
I think I saw somewhere that the season finale will be episode 99?

I watched it in 12 minutes. This show is really sucking ass lately. Like, slow, dirty ass.

Geezes christ. 7 minutes in and nothing but bad music and people mulling about.

Did we really need 8 minutes of conversation between these two ladies in their sniper tower?

nope. What's even worse is that despite how drawn out it all was, it still felt like that connection came out of nowhere. :shake:

The promo at the end did say that there's only two episodes left this season. Something has to happen in them right? ..........right?

Nope. None of these factions have even come together yet. No chance anything exciting will happen by seasons end. Not at the pace they are going . They will probably all meet at the gates ready to fight negan and then it will cut away and we'll wait for 8 months. Then we will watch the next season and bitch about the same shit.

I can't stand how you don't see characters for weeks at a time. This may be a AMC thing, if there not series regulars, they can only work so many episodes. I have no doubt they cut back though on Negan in the 2nd half of the season due to the negative response. I just hope negan lives long enough for the current comic book story, if the show goes that long.

Based on the previews, they don't just visit, they tear shit up.

Plot this, pace that, blah blah blah.

What's really concerning is that Maggie has no baby bump whatsoever.

So is next week the season finale?

Fine episode overall but enough with the cliff hangers. Lets just get this show fucking going already.

What is the deal with Dwights story line in the comics. Feel free to spoiler that for me.

Dwight
Spoiler: show
Betrays Negan. It's unclear if he is sincere or simply choosing the winning side. He plays a big role in the final battle. That will likely be next season's finale.
Next week is the finale'. I'm guessing Sasha and Rosita die. First battle of war. Cliffhanger involving Michonne. Either the Junkers or Oceanside align with the Saviors.

I'm hopeful the war will bring some consistent action back to the series next season. But I can also see them doing that in spurts instead.
