Without a "There was no Bowling Green massacre" option it's probably wise to take this with a grain of salt. Still, it's kinda insane that only 23% of his supporters disagreed with the statement. I'm thinking some of the 25% who didn't know probably support the ban but know there wasn't a massacre.

But still. Jeez.

From Politico's article on the Appellate Court's decision:

The decision says it is "well established" that when considering the legality of government actions courts can consider public comments such as Trump's public call for a ban on immigration by Muslims.

I don't know if Spenno is still around, but I'm curious what his take (or anyone else) is on this since he has been pretty adamant that the comments surrounding the ban don't matter at all and shouldn't be cause for people becoming hysterical about it since the ban doesn't say "Muslim", but this indicates that there is a judicial precedent in the U.S. that allows the courts to do just that when considering the constitutionality of an action.

CNN: US investigators corroborate some aspects of the Russia dossier

Washington (CNN)For the first time, US investigators say they have corroborated some of the communications detailed in a 35-page dossier compiled by a former British intelligence agent, multiple current and former US law enforcement and intelligence officials tell CNN. As CNN first reported, then-President-elect Donald Trump and President Barack Obama were briefed on the existence of the dossier prior to Trump's inauguration.

None of the newly learned information relates to the salacious allegations in the dossier. Rather it relates to conversations between foreign nationals. The dossier details about a dozen conversations between senior Russian officials and other Russian individuals. Sources would not confirm which specific conversations were intercepted or the content of those discussions due to the classified nature of US intelligence collection programs.

But the intercepts do confirm that some of the conversations described in the dossier took place between the same individuals on the same days and from the same locations as detailed in the dossier, according to the officials. CNN has not confirmed whether any content relates to then-candidate Trump.
The corroboration, based on intercepted communications, has given US intelligence and law enforcement "greater confidence" in the credibility of some aspects of the dossier as they continue to actively investigate its contents, these sources say.

There's a note that some materials in the dossier may be Russian intelligence falsehoods. I assume that's the pee stuff...salacious details that will draw attention from crucial revelations, but may also help them determine leak sources if it comes out.

Hill: FEC commissioner to Trump: Show evidence of voter fraud

A commissioner on the Federal Elections Commission (FEC) called on President Trump to give proof of voter fraud, after he reportedly made further claims in a meeting with senators.

Trump reportedly blamed voter fraud for why both he and former Sen. Kelly Ayotte (N.H.) lost in New Hampshire last November during a recent meeting with a bipartisan group of senators.

“The scheme the President of the United States alleges would constitute thousands of felony criminal offenses under New Hampshire law,” Commissioner Ellen Weintraub said in a statement Friday.

US intelligence has confirmed several details in the explosive dossier about President Donald Trump's alleged ties to Russia, two American intelligence officials told BuzzFeed News on Friday.

CNN initially reported late Friday afternoon that parts of the 35-page dossier, which Trump has dismissed entirely as "fake news," stood up under further investigation from US intelligence and law enforcement. But CNN said it has not confirmed whether any of the confirmed details relate to Trump. The CNN report also indicated that the intercepted calls that led to the confirmation were solely between foreign nationals and picked up during routine intelligence gathering.

An intelligence source told BuzzFeed News that CNN's reporting was accurate, saying that the details that have been confirmed "are not the salacious allegations" of a sexual encounter in a Moscow hotel "but more about Trump's relationship with Russia." He declined to provide more details about the nature of that relationship, calling it "closely held."

Additionally, the source said, some of the other confirmed details amount to things "no one will care about," such as gossip among Russians who dislike Hillary Clinton.

A second US intelligence official working with federal law enforcement told BuzzFeed News, "Over the past two weeks we've determined some portions [of the dossier] are credible." The source said the determination was made after "multiple analysts" reviewed intercepted communications between Russian officials. He would not disclose the sections of the document that have been confirmed but, like the other intelligence source, said it was a small portion and was not the sensational details.
