I saw it in a theatre and it didnt feel like tv at all. It was such a powerful experience to see. The score is amazing, im still listening to it from time to time.

The scenes between the two fathers were intense and wonderful, but unlike Sicario and HoHW, there wasn't moment where I didn't know where it was going. There were some excellent score pieces, though.

Suspiria.

All this talk about the new one made me want to revisit the original in its remastered form. What a great cinematic experience. Argento sure know how to frame, chose the right camera movement, the right score...man, what a movie.

Wolf Creek 2.

Boring and unnecessary. The only cool part was when the main guy is in Mick´s gaze.

The Mummy.

I dont undertand how Universal thought this movie was supposed to set up a whole universe. Its so filled with mumbo jumbo about sacrifices, curses it lost the main appeal about a Mummy movie. They make again a adventure type of story thats not scary at all...god, that blonde was so fucking boring and generic i dont understand why kill yourself for her...and the whole Jekyll and Hyde thing was stupid.

Im glad these dark universe was just a press photo. Bring the fucking horror next time Universal.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I've only heard about it and the idea seems interesting. I'm paying for Google Music*, I may as well get something out of it.

*I just wish Google Fi users could use Google Music and not have it count against our data.

I, Tonya

Fun movie. Funny how twenty-five years later they make heroic stories about the Tonya Hardings of the world and not the Nancy Kerrigans.

Lesson: good or bad, don't be boring. The world wants characters.

Baby Driver was next up on the Netflix queue last night. It got a little too off the track in the end but for the most part it was an enjoyable summer action flick with some great car chase scenes. Elgort was pretty good, holding his own against some top name (well, one's not so top name anymore) acting talent. Of those I thought Jamie Foxx was especially good in his role.
Not only was it set in Atlanta it was another thing filmed here too. It's still cool to see recognizable landmarks pop up but it can be distracting when you know they're driving on one stretch of road and the next they're not anywhere near where they just were.

It seemed a little too stylized and trying too hard to be hip at first to me too but it settled into an enjoyable groove soon enough.

Is he? I can’t remember ever seeing him in anything but he’s a dead ringer for Han. Seems like he’d be able to pull it off.
