Another cabinet scandal brewing; will Elaine Chao (Mrs. Mitch McConnell) still be Secretary of Transportation at the end of summer?

The most obvious thing about McConnell is that his marriage is based on money and corruption. There is no way that racist turtle would be with an Asian woman otherwise.

In the era of wokeness, how more people are not more upset about overt efforts to subvert representative democracy is beyond me. Democracy is not a team sport.

I meant that the level of upset is sort of the usual cacophony where I would think this would be the he sort of thing that incites mass protest. The reaction is equivalent to me to any asinine tweet used to distract the people and media from the real problem - as in this seems like the placeholder until the next tweet.

We live in difficult times.

Are we still mad about something substantive like the census or forgotten in the storm of his latest outrageous statement? Thought so.

Queue the out of context claim or joking or press is the enemy of the people and we’ll have two news cycles to forget about designing the census to help one sports team.

Sounds like we’d better get some Republicans into office to fix this
(CNSNews.com) - For the first time in the history of the United States, the federal government has spent more than $3 trillion in the first eight months of the fiscal year, according to the Monthly Treasury Statement released today.

The record $3,013,541,000,000 that the federal government spent in October through May of fiscal 2019 was $181,157,920,000 more than the previous record of $2,832,383,080,000 (in constant May 2019 dollars) that the federal government spent in October through May of fiscal 2009
