Eddie Vedder - Earthling

When a band is but a fraction of Pearl Jam, but they aren't zero Pearl Jam.

But so far, of all the songs I've heard, "Invincible", "Mrs. Mills", and maybe "Try" have the potential to be keepers.
Where did you hear Try? I also havent found any vids of The Dark

Just that snippet from Instagram that was posted either earlier in this thread or in the Live thread, I can't remember. A "spritzy punker" (gasp), but sounded kinda promising.

I haven't heard The Dark yet either.

Color me surprised, I’m actually liking what I’m hearing so far. Nothing mind blowing, and it’s definitely not how I want Pearl Jam to sound, but I think I’m going to enjoy this album nonetheless.

Power Of Right is a little Mudhoneyish a little Toolish.
The Dark Springsteeny
Mrs Mills Beatles with a touch of Queen
Invincible Kansas Peter Gabriel and a touch of The Killers
The Haves the beegees
Try Social D
Rose of Jerico not Nirvana. I could see it polished sounding like Green Day

Pretty good recording of night 1. Misses the first few/last few songs, but it's listenable.

"The Dark" is at about 21:30. It's pretty good! I'm very surprised at how decent these songs are, overall.

I think "The Dark" is going to be my favourite of the bunch; it sounds like 80s/90s alt rock a la some movie soundtrack, but (I hope) in a good way

Power Of Right starts around 25:40. It's.... interesting!

"Power of Right" - Ed, is that some Vitalogy swagger? I'm actually amazed songs like this are still coming from this guy; hopefully I don't hate it after I read the lyrics (I just don't need another "music is so awesome baby yeah yeah yeah ride the super duper wave on the shoreline baby")

Something from Tool, but I can't place it. No it a Mudhoney riff. No The Stooges. If the the POR has good lyrics it will maybe elevate this album alot. There is a risk that this will be the best thing Ed has done album wise since 2000.
