That still doesn't make him one of the three stars.
yes it does. i would have given him first star actually.
you sound like peeps right now
im not sure how to take this, considering you are peeps little bro
Boring and predictable response. I don't know why you're taking the stance on this that you are considering that you've been able to actually talk hockey before, unlike most philly sports fans. Right now you just sound like a meathead homer.
you dont know why im taking this stance? have you seen me talk about hockey fights before? if im being a homer im being a pro fight homer lol. although seeing simmonds bulldoze through people and emery skate the ice to fight during a 7-0 embarrassment was refreshing. at least they care.

the real problem w/ the flyers has nothing to do w/ fighting or goons...or even goalies, believe it or not. giroux, voraceck and hartnell have been playing like 3rd liners all year, and this is supposed to be our first line. giroux and hartnell specifically have been even worse than 3rd liners b/c their play in their own end has been terrible. the defense has also been terrible. outside of grossmann, everyone has sucked. i still have no idea why we signed streit when we have timonen, who is basically the same player. streit single handedly gave up the game losing break away last night b/c he got stood up at the other blue line and turned the puck over.

I'm pro-fighting, too and am watching an embarrassment of a team play worse than AHLers at time, but I think naming Emery any star of the game is a joke regardless of what it did for morale in the locker room.

Pat LaFontaine is the new President of Hockey Ops for Buffalo. A writer for the Buffalo News is saying Regier may be out, as well as Ron Rolston, and Ted Nolan may replace Rolston.

Regier probably should have been gone a long time ago.

It's kind of amazing guys like him last so long. His drafting has been pretty abysmal, especially in the first round. He's probably the last guy I'd want to oversee a rebuild through the draft.

the flyers look like a different team defensively since they let laviolette go and put in berube. the forwards are always back checking and they have sticks in passing lanes at every area on the ice. they really turned it up after kunitz disallowed goal. also, ray emery play really well and he didnt even have to beat anyone up

Any Canadians here not too happy with the Rogers TV deal? I thought TSN WAS hockey, and their commentators and analysts are amongst the best I've ever seen. Additionally, HNIC on CBC is an institution that shouldn't be tinkered with... except maybe Don Cherry.

Lastly, I've never been able to stomach a single play-by-play guy on Rogers Sportsnet. They better offer Gord Miller some big money to get him over there, because it always seems so bush-league on their broadcasts.

Last time TSN lost the NHL they still offered good coverage and they made the World Juniors a great event. I'm hoping they get creative again.

I mostly follow a US team, so I'm happy at the thought of there being a Center Ice lite package for fewer $ without the Canadian teams on it. I'm so used to less than stellar US play by play that anything Canadian is usually better. My fingers are crossed they'll offer some interesting internet enabled packages.
Think I’m going to try being kind to everyone a chance.

despite the clamp down the pens did in the third, they had no business winning in the SO

Well technically they had no business getting to the shootout considering how that tying goal was scored. But the Leafs had no business getting a point after going the last 25 minutes of the game without a shot.
