Which city is that? It looks really beautiful, and if I ever get my ass to America, I'd like to visit it.

Gilbert, Arizona. A suburb of Phoenix. Zero culture, but a great place if you're an active person. Tons of trails to run or hike. Come in the winter.

Nice. I like Arizona purely because of the Kings of Leon song.

15 miles in 1:42

Solid. Ate a gel at the turnaround. 52 out. 50 back with a nice half-mile finishing kick. Back is stiff, but pain-free.

10 miles in 68 minutes

Couldn't sleep, so I hit the canal at 2:30. I ran with Hammock on my headphones. The dreamy post-rock mixed with the pitch black kinda put me in a weird trance while running. Kinda like sleeprunning. Extremely mellow. Even-ish split, I think. Forgot to hit the lap button on my watch at the turnaround. No finishing kick. Came home and slept for a couple of hours afterwards.

A hard 8 mile trail run on Monday. It totally kicked my ass. Yesterday's mtn bike ride home was sheer torture. My legs were still tired from Monday's run. Slid off a couple bridges and ladders in the rain. I hate ladders with a passion. Today's 15 mile ride in was a form of torture I believe but had a respectable time.

Got in a good workout last night; solid weights plus a little over 1.5 miles on the treadmill. Going to double up tonight as I'm heading out of town for the weekend.

i think we are finally gonna be making regular trips to the gym, last night was the first and got 20 minutes on the treadmill, and managed to still be able to run/jog a mile at 5 mph, i think that took just a bit over 12 minutes, and i walked the rest of the way. after that we did a bit of weights, which is where im most intimidated because ive never really done any lifting, and i dont know how to use any of the machines, but no one was there last night and we just took our time looking around at all of them and chloe was able to show me how to use all the ones i wanted to try out. we we did probably about 20 minutes or so of lifting to go along with the cardio

An hour bike ride in, 45 minutes at the gym at lunch. Started going heavier, felt okay. Have lost 6 pounds since I started three or so weeks ago. Feeling, still motivated and pleasantly surprised and how good swiming has been for maintaining muscle mass in my shoulders, chest and tri's.

Three hours of work left, a 25 minute ride to my car, quick drive home the remainder of the way and then me and a bottle(s) of red are going to a little tet-to-tet.

Ran 2 miles in 23 minutes and walked the last 7 minutes for a total of about 2.3 miles. Then did some weights for another 20 or 25 minutes, did some chest, some back and some abs

My ride home sucked so bad. 42 degrees and a downpour. Completely soaked five minutes into my ride and it seemed like every asshole in the world was tailgating me in a lane they aren't supposed to be in. A 20 minute shower when I got home felt so good.

50K in 4:16

Things went really well until about the 25-mile point, then I ate shit on a slight downhill and tweaked my back again. I also didn't eat enough. This is a 15.5-mile loop course and I did 2 loops. First loop in 1:59. Second loop in 2:17. The run kinda sucked, but the weather was perfect. Cloudy and 60. Back hurts like fuck. Legs are solid.

Edit: Also, ran for 2 hours yesterday on a trail about 5 minutes from the mining town of Superior. Beautiful trail near one of the bleakest fucking shitholes on earth. But the people were insanely nice and I had a stew-meat burrito about the size of my head that was better than post-vasectomy sex.

10 miles in 70 minutes

Hit the gym with the wife. Legs and back weren't in the best of shape, but decided an easy 10-miler on a bouncy treadmill wouldn't do much damage. Felt good, but got a little twinge in my right Achilles. Stretched the hell out of that fucker for the rest of the day. Back is wrecked and now my Achilles is getting testy. I'm gonna take the next couple of days off.

Good news: 7 hours of sleep last night.

Bad news: Needed help out of bed because my back and right Achilles are all sorts of fucked up.

Does that mean you'll now be awake for the rest of the week?

Well i found out the hard way that eating dinner before going to the gym is a bad idea, especially when dinner was chilli  , but still did pretty well, ran 2 miles in just under 22 minutes and walked the rest of the way to 28 minutes for 2.4 miles total. Also did some weights, some bench press and some butterflys, some shoulder and back stuff as well as some ab crunches. about 50 minutes total and though i had to fight it, i didn't throw up :haha:
