I don't know... Voting away from Zantac is risky. Dude knows his shit. But I just have a really good feeling about Belwas. Like, if they really did fight, he'd find a way. I think this is one of those surprising upset type situations where Victarion gets too cocky and looks past his opponent.

I could have gone either way with this one, to be honest. I could very easily see him sidestepping one of Victarions attacks and going after an unarmoured part of his body, much like he did with Oznak zo Pahl. But his proclivity for allowing his opponents to cut him once swayed me towards The Iron Captain.

That's what swayed me as well. Also, I don't think fighters are allowed armor in the pits of Mereen are they? I don't think Belwas has met someone as battle-hardened, powerful, and fully-plated as Big Dick Vic.

plate slows you down. its heavy. its meant for fighting people in tight melees where you cant keep track of what blows are coming from where, or to stop a lance from killing you. if you are fighting sonmeone who can move and whose style involves not getting hit rather than turning aside blows you can lose.

They had a melee of sorts at the reopening of Daznak's Pit that featured some faux-Dothraki against some faux-Knights, and the Knights wore armour. But as it pertains to single combat? I'm not entirely sure.

No, I'm sure he doesn't. But the difference between a flesh wound and his entrails spilling out is pretty slim. Not a lot of room for error.
