Well, at the risk of over-explaining while over-simplifying: COVID restrictions in Australia are very much a state-by-state proposition, the responsibility for these resting with each state's premier (the rough equivalent of a state governor in the US context). This has effectively nothing to do with Scott Morrison, the federal prime minister.

Notwithstanding what gets reported internationally, each Australian state and territory has imposed notably different restrictions during the pandemic.

Fair enough. Replace Morrison’s name with whoever is in charge of wherever spike is visiting.

Boss wants to go on a work trip to CA the week after next for something not urgent or a big deal. My co-worker and I are sure it's mainly to get away from drama in her home. It was funny because she said something about us not being out there since about 6 months ago. I handle two other locations that I haven't been to since 2018, and another I have NEVER been to.
