Decades. Trump and McConnell have screwed the courts for half a century.

The courts will be a problem for Democrats, but only to a certain extent. If Dems get enough power and the courts push back too hard against that power, they can pack courts, strip some of their jurisdiction, or even flat out ignore them. During those times, courts will have to figure out how far they can go without going too far.

The bigger threat courts pose against Democrats might be now and in the short term, when they don't have the power to stop them.

Democrats and Trump foes really need to figure out a way to make all these sexual assault accusations against Trump stick. It's one of the most execrable things about him.
