Re: The Official GIGATON Thread
very early ranking for me, I’ve only heard the songs once or twice.
Alright
Dance
Who ever said
Super blood
Take the long way
Seven o’clock
Quick escape
Never destination
Buckle up
Retrograde
River cross
Comes then goes
The slower songs at the end aren’t bad and will improve on the ranking with more listens but I think this album is tracked poorly which intially affects them atm. Also, I’ve been listening to moonlander a lot lately and stone should have sung in a duet on buckle up

Definitely, it just drives people to download and takes away from the big Spotify early streams. Anyone getting a hardcopy is going to anywayTim wrote:They should drop this on all streaming platforms now. It's leaked. Many people won't be able to go to the store to buy a physical copy in a week's time.

I was hoping for this today as well before I'm forced to listen to a so-so quality leak (or so it seems). Not sure how much longer I can hold out....dammitHuell wrote:Definitely, it just drives people to download and takes away from the big Spotify early streams. Re: The Official GIGATON Thread
This album was conceived in frustrations with administration, climate change, societal issues, etc. that developed thematically to represent struggle and hopeful perseverance.
Then COVID-19 comes "out of nowhere" and takes over the world's attention, perfectly timed with the album's release resulting in the postponement of the tour--the album takes on a whole new meaning, oddly, fittingly, cementing it forever further representing our current pandemic and state of affairs.
Somewhat reminds me of Springsteen's The Rising, if that album had been mostly written before September 11, and how it became to represent something else.

Re: The Official GIGATON Thread
For anyone to say this album is NOT good, is asinine.
The guys guys are in their 50’s?
This record is fantastic. It sounds amazing. The band sounds great.
Eddies songs are pretty great, Comes Then Goes is soooo good.
I was high as shit, which song has the Tom Petty song in it?

Re: The Official GIGATON Thread
I'd start with Who Ever Said in this run. I'm shocked. If the album version is any kind of improvement on this copy, it is going to be amazing.Habitman wrote:DOTC through Seven O'Clock is a helluva run. possibly my favorite run since Lights years-Of the Girl.
