was just reflecting on comments that were shared on RM re: Dunkirk. Yeah, obviously very different stories/visions, but at face value i'd expect to be more emotionally moved by the story about brave young men losing their lives in a foreign land than by the story about a flamboyant pianist and his kept man...

i was just trying to make a point about the directors.

Lucas got a ton of stuff from Secret Of The Incas. Indy's look and the light reflecting to show the hidden location. I've been doing a movie tour of the films that inspired Indy.

Oh shit, yeah, that was the one I was thinking of; I've seen both but they get blended in my mind.

The best part of Secret of the Incas was getting to watch Yma Sumac perform. My god she was incredible.
