I think JD only got traded one time.

There's still a lot out there to win--the Sox are only 1 game behind Texas, and the Yankees have lost 8 of their last 10. All of these games matter, and it's so invigorating to watch this team continue to scratch out wins.

On a note that's the opposite of invigorating: it's been a long, long season of having to listen to Dave O'Brien. I am so glad we have only 7 games left.

I've been thinking the same thing, I can't wait until I can watch games O'Brien-free.

If they get the best record that likely leaves them playing either TOR, DET, or BAL and to be honest I think I'd rather play Cleveland than any of those three.

Why was he going home in the first place?

Me, I though he was out. It looks like he baaaaaarely touches him on that stab before the stab where the ball leaves his glove, and that was before Petey touched the plate. But when you're playing like he is right now, just balls to the wall and giving 110% on every play, you tend to get calls like that. His last two games have been unreal; how about when he threw to the plate for the out in Saturday's game?

Man, I was bored at work reading through this thread from a few years ago, and I continually refer to Bogaerts as "Boogarts" when he was still in the minors. Hilarious.

I mean... I know what you mean about the kind of play that wins championships. To me, you should feel that way based on the three straight comeback wins against the Yankees or the Hanley walk-offs or the David Ortiz Show.

Unless you mean that this is an example of a team screwing up and still getting a positive result out of it feeling like a championship team... then I get it too, I guess. That's kind of John Farrell's management style.

Yeah, what I meant was crazy plays like that that go in your favor often happen with teams that are heading towards winning.

I guess that play would be more on Butterfield than Farrell, but yeah, he's an idiot and will likely be the reason they get eliminated when they do.

Probably 2, 1 1/2 at least.

What KILLS me is how since this winning streak started, the beat guys in Boston are trying to say he should win manager of the year. They would have clinched the division a week ago if he hadnt been the manager all season. They might have won 11 games in a row, but there's still plenty of things he does on a nightly basis that send me up a wall.

At LEAST 2 full years, and they would probably have to finish in last both of those years for him not to get a 3rd year at least to start

I'm with numbers, I want the team to win, but I can just feel his ineptitude coming down the pike and Grady Little'ing us right out of the playoffs....and ruining Ortiz' last season at the same time
