Yeah, would this succession plan have been allowed if he were white? I'm guessing not. Didn't the Cowboys get in trouble for something like that awhile back? Jason Garrett maybe?

I don't know all the rules, but I wonder if because they didn't fire Bill, nor did he resign...is the reason they were able to do it this way.

But he did resign. He voluntarily stepped down from his position. That’s the very definition of resign.

i'm guessing he had some provision in his contract that covered this

who is NE's GM now? they have the #3 pick in the draft ... managing that is probably more important at this point i would think

no dis to Mayo

but he is prob more of the same from a coaching standpoint

sounded like the shakeup they needed was in personnel / GM
