My local school district boggles the mind.

They voted last night to go from a mask mandate to "mask recommended" on April 4, which is the first day back from Spring Break.

If you're going to wait until then, why not go 2 more weeks to weed out the kids bringing COVID back from wherever the fuck they went over Spring Break?

The county I work in dropped our mask mandate this past monday. My work follows the county guidelines so now we don't have to wear masks at work. It's weird seeing everyone's faces again. I've caught myself a few times leaving my office and almost turning around to get my mask.

I've got 3 kids ranging from 1st to 6th grade, and they dropped the mask mandate this past Monday in my town. Some towns still require it in school, but the state isn't mandating anything here anymore.

State ends one week from today. County doing everything it can to keep it going forever.

Man, our governor gave up on Covid ages ago. Probably because of the plan to kidnap and murder her.

So glad the child abuse is ending. It should be effective immediately, although I’m sure the science supports waiting another week.

Are you one of those people we read about at school board meetings losing their shit over this "tyranny" inflicted on the children? I can understand being against the mask mandate, but calling it child abuse just signals that you're on a different looney-train than the "wear a mask always and everywhere" crowd.

Yea. My son's never had much of a problem with mask wearing at school. He happily trots onto the school bus every morning with all his mask wearing neighbors. I've never seen or heard of a child happily getting their ass beat for misbehaving at the grocery store.

No, I just grumble under my breath and bitch about it here. Equating mandatory masking with child abuse is hyperbole. Having kids eat lunch separated by plexiglass with no talking allowed, or lunch outside in cold weather...now we're in the realm.

The kids I know are the same way, happy under the circumstances and making the best of it, but more than ready to ditch the masks as are their friends and classmates. I think that's most kids who haven't been completely mindfucked by their doomer parents over the past two years.
