Of course a show can be great even with those kinds of mistakes. Character development is much more important. No one will watch a show if they don’t care about the characters. Storyline and plot probably come next.

From a production stand point, avoiding jump cuts is media aesthetics 101. Prior to Breaking Bad, humans seemed incapable of making a television show unless they settled for bad edits.

What a bizarre take. I've never seen anyone so preoccupied with jump cuts.

Avoiding jump cuts is not "media aesthetics 101." Jump cuts can be (and often are) an aesthetic choice as much as anything (see: Godard and the Nouvelle Vague)

Breaking Bad is full of inconsistent / haphazard composition and wonky handheld shots which to my eye are much worse problems than the occasional jump cut. Just one aspect in which Better Call Saul, which is full of gorgeous and precise compositions, is superior.

As a surprise to no one, I never got further than the end of Season 2.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I apologize for creating confusion. It was not my intention to suggest that artistic, preplanned, intentional jump cuts should be considered bad edits.

Tempting fate again is dicey but I think a prequel focused on Gus's rise from Argentina (Chile?) could work.

Either that or a comedy set at Madrigal Electromotive.

Supposed to be Chile

And if they ever do that, they better hire an actual Hispanic cast. I don't want more of Giancarlo Esposito's mangled Spanish
