If there is a team that wears Atlanta on it's chest, they will lie down and play like dogs when it matters.

When you've given the world Outkast, it's ok to be the home of perennial chokers and also-rans. The world will still always be in debt to you.

While I can't believe Lowry didn't make any effort to pass the ball with three people on him, if the roles were reversed with Pierce taking that exact same shot and Lowry making that exact same defensive play the refs would've put Pierce on the line ten times out of ten.

yeah, lots of contact, but he's gotta pass that off.

Agreed. And I have no problem with there being no call. I just couldn't help but think that to myself when it was Pierce on the other end of the play. Though Pierce also would have flailed much harder and acted like somebody had just murdered his entire family.

Round 2 Predictions:

Game 7's for everyone! Kidding...

Heat over Nets in 6
Wizards over Pacers in 6
Thunder over Clippers in 7
Spurs over Blazers in 7

I've got to redo my round 2 predictions from earlier after going only four of eight in round one. Though at least I didn't pick the Rockets to win it all like gems and rhinestones.

Indiana over Washington, 4-2
Miami over Brooklyn, 4-1
San Antonio over Portland, 4-3
Los Angeles over Oklahoma City, 4-3

Here's to keeping up my 50% accuracy rate...

FO, FO, FO, FO!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, maybe not the 4th "FO", but I got 4-0 over the Nets.

The Bobcats hung tough with the Heat for most of the series with Jefferson either absent or hurt. I like your confidence but a sweep seems a little extreme.

Yeah, I think the Nets pull one out in Brooklyn.

All of the people I'm seeing picking it to go seven (or even picking the Nets to win) are just crazy.

In the 1989 playoffs the Milwaukee Bucks squeaked past the Hawks in (the then maximum) five games and were all psyched about facing the top-seeded Pistons cause they had beaten them four times in the regular season and accounted for over 20% of the Pistons losses that year. The Pistons promptly swept their asses out of the playoffs. That's what I think of every time someone tries to mention how the Nets beat the Heat four times in the regular season. The Heat are gonna thump them.

I mean they "hung tough" if you mean that they didn't give up when they would fall behind by 20 and would fight and keep it mostly in the 10-15 range, then yeah they hung tough. Game 2 they got to within a final possession scenario, but the Heat were fully in control in all 4 of those games.

I'm not saying that as if being in control against a Jefferson-less Bobcats squad is an accomplishment, but the Bobcats didn't have a shot in 3 of those games, and only had a shot in the 4th because of a furious rally and a non-flagrant call.

Listen, I can definitely see the Nets getting one. But people acting like the Nets are taking this to 7 or could actually win this barring injury or an act of Satan are kidding themselves. The Wizards are by far the biggest threat left in the East.

I also worry about the people who are picking the Nets to win the series. Picking them to win a game or two is another story however.

Man, with only 4 games (now 3) left in his career who would have thought KG would pull a Hibbert last night?
