It's interesting to see how the Pfefferman kids are having their individual reactions to their Mappa's transitioning. And there is some brilliant work done with flashbacks to a previous generation of Pfeffermans. Much of the season deals with how one's sexuality and gender is so deeply-rooted, and the whole show deals with this concept just beautifully. Note-perfect from top to bottom.
