I was doing sit ups and counting out loud and when I finished my ninth and started my tenth, a lawyer for Pearl Jam came in the room and informed me I would have to do two ninth or two eleventh sit ups because I'd be violating copyright by blurting out "TEN!"*

PJ's facebook feed and the recent photo of Kurt and Eddie they posted. Nothing against the photo but the comment underneath...

"On this day in 1992, Eddie Vedder and Kurt Cobain slow danced under the MTV awards stage during Eric Clapton's "Tears in Heaven" ending a war of words that had been going on throughout the year."

I don't think no one has to repeat that their was no "war" of words.

They did a lot of slagging each other off, no?

I don't think anyone in pj ever said anything bad/negative about nirvana at the time. I think it was just cobain bitching for a while. I might be wrong though.

I don't think there were any hard feelings, Kurt would say "I don't like them" and Stone and Jeff would maybe think, "well OK if that's what you think."

Well that were my initial thoughts from PJ20 and that Cobain interview from MTV news or whatever. I guess someone else could educate me more on that and how it was blown out of proportion back then.

I find really annoying that they chose McCready and O'Brien as the spokesmen for LB. The one clearly lacks eloquence (and intellectual culture in my opinion) and the other always sounds as a superficial and ridiculously self-referential anachronistic communications specialist.

You've got a whole month until this album comes out. Do you really think we won't hear from at least Stone and Jeff?

Sorry, I just don't like O'Brien's approach and attitude.
If there will be a promo video or interviews during the tour, we will hear from the rest how recording has evolved into a collective creative process full of mutual respect and understanding and...

Well, this is not the band's fault when nobody is asking why they release below average albums since 2006.

It's the band's fault in as much as they are totally happy that BO'B does what he does. It's the band's fault in the sense that they've brought him on board, and they're paying him to do it. We don't have to like it (I don't either) but at this point I'm trying to get over it so that I can enjoy the album for what it is. I'm becoming convinced that when they talk about the democratic, happy and collaborative process they've got going on, they're not lying, even if I wish they were.

Also, they've only released one album since 2006.

Harmless, you are very quick!!
I agree with you, and I would probably be ok with the band's choices, if I liked the music.
I included the self titled, so I should have said since 2002.
(it's evident this is totally personal)

I am a ninja on the internet. Lightning-fast responses, and far too many of them flying at your face like ninja stars from every direction.

No, I know what you mean, and I guess if you're really unhappy with the music, you have a valid complaint. I find it a little subpar since Riot Act. To me, PJ have 7 perfect albums, and 2 imperfect, good but flawed ones. I'm hoping LB is an improvement on those, but we'll see. S/T's problems were not due to BO'B, though, so I think that even if he wasn't involved, the signs of an ageing band would still be there. This need to please everyone and not get into arguments was why we got Inside Job on S/T, remember. An average song with terrible lyrics. But they wanted to honour Mike, and he was proud of it, so...
