Really? I find it to be one of the least interesting of the erotic thriller boom.

Ive never seen any of the mission impossible films. I can’t stand Tom cruise though.

What? You couldn't buy that Micheal Douglas would throw his marriage away for this?

Agreed. Riot Act is just the worst.LoathedVermin72 wrote:VinylGuy wrote:Rogue Nation does everything better than Spectre.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Spectre is so much better than Rogue Nation. Come on.
I find RA almost aggressively mediocre. Forgettable. Bland. Nothing.

well, the script is not good. Its merely ok although i do like how the handle Michael Douglas's character. But Lyne directs this thing so fucking well. The pace, the menace, all the close shots. Its so fucking well done.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Really? I find it to be one of the least interesting of the erotic thriller boom.

Lyne is such a strange director. Hyper stylized, but weirdly so, I would say? Jacob’s Ladder is the only one of his movies that has really worked for me. I wish he did more horror.VinylGuy wrote:well, the script is not good. Its merely ok although i do like how the handle Michael Douglas's character. But Lyne directs this thing so fucking well. There is a scene in Fatal Attraction thats more WTF than the entire movie. Its Douglas and Close running with his dog in the park, like maniacs, falling over and almost fighting.

The trailer bored me so I'm not going anywhere near the actual film.BurtReynolds wrote:Isle of Dogs
I'm done with Wes Anderson I think. I was bored to death.
Watched Pacific Rim: Uprising. There were too many times where there were jokes where they shouldn't be and then serious moments where they shouldn't be...just a weird mis-mash of scenes. That said I liked the actual story, I just wish there were a better movie there.

Maybe you can’t make it work because you are stuck in a Jacob’s Ladder scenariobune wrote:God I want to make a HDTGM joke but I can't make it work.tragabigzanda wrote:Nice to see a Jacob's Ladder mention on RM this morning.VinylGuy wrote:Oh yeah, he is so fucking weird!!!
