Bernie has served in the Senate for a long time and voted for bills. I think there may be a sense given his rhetoric that it will be a revolution, probably because he uses that word, but his track record is not 145,768 abstentions. I think the guy will actually play ball once he is there based on what the congress would actually pass.

Warren can play ball too. But her rhetoric seems more short-sighted and negative to me. Bernie seems to have a long term term vision while Warren seems captive to short term anger.

but i like hearing other people's perspectives

given how close they are in the polls, it seems like voters will have to make a choice between the two at some point

I agree that Bernie would be much more willing to compromise than the conventional wisdom suggests.

I know lots of people feel this way. Maybe you’re right. Not really sure what Warren could do that Obama didn’t try. With Bernie you get that lefty push with some of the Trump playbook that seems to work - engagement with the base, rallies, leaving the wonk stuff to people who don’t have to also lead a culture war. It takes a village. What if the left had someone at the top who wouldn’t try to play the central role in policy writing but used his authority to persuade people toward a certain direction.

See...I think Warren, before the Medicare for All pullback fiasco, was generally a candidate projecting strength and confidence that we could do the things she recommended and that she was not ashamed to reach for these goals while still seeming somewhat reasonable. The Medicare for All walk back sort of ruined that and I don’t know what to expect from her, particularly tomorrow.

Bernie over both races has come across as a firebrand and that his vision is a massive revolution against the billionaire class that we’ll all be a part of and his policies will pass by force of that sheer will, and not as a result of building consensus and compromise. The whole package goes or...what? Bernie hasn’t been able to answer that question writ large over the past 4 years.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Trump wrongly thought Trump/Meadows 2020 would be better for him than Trump/Pence 2020.

it’s funny bc I actually interpret Warren’s rhetoric coming across as less compromising. she seems to be more focused on ‘punishing’ things than building things. i feel like Bernie when given sufficient time has well-thought out proposals that are grounded in reality and are not that far off from some of the New Deal type things FDR came up with back in the day.

Buttigieg with a pair of serious takedowns. First knee-dropped Warren for having 100x net worth compared to him after she dissed his wine cave event; then just broke globuchar with his 'gay dude' defense. she crumbled.

Warren is splitting his vote. She doesn't realize that her best chance to have her views come to fruition is to leave now and throw her support to Bernie.

Instead she will probably lead to Biden getting nominated
