I've pretty much stopped buying them, unless there's a rare exception on sale (like Firestone Walker, KBS, Black Note, BBPt5, Bourbon County, Central Waters, Pipeworks, etc. (shit, so that's why I have so much beer)).
I dont intentionally age often, I just dont drink as much as I buy
That's pretty much where I'm at as well (excepting beers like Abyss that pretty much warn you that unless you age for at least 2 years that's all you're going to taste is bourbon).

I'll age some high ABV Belgians and some sours because they tend to be bottle conditioned. If they are kept in a really dark, room temperature area the yeast continue to break down sugars and the taste can completely change, sometimes for the better, sometimes not. It's a fun and geeky thing to do. The only stout I age is Founders Imperial Stout because it tastes a bit rough to me when it's fresh and the aging softens it up a bit.

I love that root beer in the summer. They make a 10% ABV one in bombers as well.

it is the name of a beer. i think maybe we're on different wavelengths again. that's okay; we have a lot of time to sort these issues out as our alliance continues to develop.
