He’s Italian
Wait, isn’t Italian derived from Latin?

Jorge and Breaking Bad are inextricably linked in my head not just from RM discourse as the show aired, but because he once told me to watch a little known movie called Divorcing Jack, which had Laura Fraser (Lydia) play a role pivotal to the plot. Her showing up in Breaking Bad after his suggestion seemed like kismet.

I didn't even recognize her when she showed up in Breaking Bad

Man, Divorcing Jack was a fun movie. I should watch that again

So I just wrapped up all 5 seasons. Started beginning of June.

I stayed away from just about ever spoiler currently and do not recall much of anything during the initial run.

I enjoyed how walter and jesse slowly traded their reverence for money. Walt initially doing this for his family and jesse to get rich and then at the end Jesse realizing all that money wasn't what was going to make him happy and walt wanting more and more money (albeit for his family)

Hank really grew on me as the series progressed. I know Skylar gets a lot of hate but I am not sure why. She was caught between a rock and hard place. How was she to react to what was going on around her? Walt Jr was phenomenal. I wasn't sure if the actor had CP or not and learned he suffers from a mild case of it (least not as severe as his character) and he had the perfect combination of sass and seriousness that teenagers express.
only thing missing was complaining about his parents still having sex.

The killing of drew sharp was disturbing as was the dealing with the aftermath. Most series would probably have jumped the shark after this but it was the lynch pin for walt's never lose focus on the goal and Jesse's there is a line in the sand I cannot come back from.

all in all this show definitely deserved all the praise it got and probably more. would have liked to have seen a concrete ending for walt. it seems like they left it ambiguous for you to make your own conclusion instead of showing him behind bars

ive been told to do so but wonder if i will be underwhelmed judging it against BB

odenkirk played slimey lawyer so well and i really enjoyed him in nobody

Giancarlo was also great as a laser focused business man (albeit the business was drugs) and i really liked Mike. I may give el camino a watch first since i have a month off for my surgery coming up

I highly recommend it, just go into it knowing they're very different shows.

Odenkirk and McKean have one of the best character dynamics and performances I’ve seen

Watch Better Call Saul.

I remember having some appreciation for El Camino’s timing when it released, but not sure if had anything to do plot wise. More or less just some actors that passed before it released. I think there’s a throwaway connection to Better Call Saul in El Camino, but I think it’s a blink and you’ll miss it characters in one scene.
