I hope he's narrating. An old Jar-Jar beside a fire in the dessert, telling the story of Episode VII to a bunch of hooded teens.

This, I agree with. ESPECIALLY with JJ Abrams at the helm. Fuck you, McP, I said it.
How did he make the airplane interrogation scene in that Mission Impossible turkey seem so emotional and tense, and then fail so hard with almost the exact same setup in Star Trek?

Not too many hooded teens, I hope, or the news will be full of stories of off-duty cops pelting holes in movie screens all over the country (in self defense).

because star trek is kinda lame. He did a great job star warsing it up, but in the end it's going to be limited by its source material

One of the few things I actually liked about the second film was the fact that Jar Jar is the catalyst for the creation of the empire. I thought that was a fun piece of (probably unintentional) meta-storytelling

That was maybe the only reason why Lucas said..."this character is important" after everyone hated him on Episode 1.
Im guessing he needed to do something like that.

It's literally the only good thing about the prequels. And I'm including Natalie Portman's bare abdomen.
