I am from Portugal, so help me out here, how many hours until the premiere???
You can Google the current time EST, that's what I did. It'll be 8pm UK time (GMT).

if it is today instead of tomorrow, and it is still at 3pm eastern, then that is in 6 hours

Since nothing ever really "happens" with this song... I really dont get why its so long. I think it would be fine 2 minutes shorter. But I think this song will be a "halfway skip" for me. After listening to about half of it... its like.. ok i got it. I'm good. on to next song. So its not a total skip.. its a halfway skip.

I cant imagine what it will be like burning 6 minutes listening to this live. they better pick up the pace. Like double speed

It wasn't really sarcasm. Apart from FD and SBM, there are three others that have been almost unanimously appreciated by reviewers.

When does this not happen with PJ live. You should have nothing to worry about.

That said, I think NAIS is too long as well for similar reasons...

Ha I hear ya dude, I wasn't making a back handed comment, it actually did make me laugh at my original post. Just found it strange that after all the leaks and what not, the 3 most anticipated still linger unheard.

I agree about NAIS. It does and im hoping speeding it up makes me like it better. It worked that way for me with do the evolution. hated the studio version but the slight increase in pace live made me get into the grove where i found the studio version plodding. I almost always am fine wiht them speeding up live except for evenflow. They have ruined the groove of the song with how fast they play it.

Yes yes, I know it's completely different than anything we've heard from this band before. But please, someone just name me one other PJ song so that I may know what I'm getting into here.

Last Kiss? Parachutes? Last Solider? Just Breathe? Solider of Love?

Anything?
It kind of moves in phases, it almost has two different choruses if you could call them that. I think this separates it from a lot of the cheesy rock bands some people have compared it to.

In terms of comparing it to other songs - I kind of get the Black comparisons, in terms of its pace, the melancholy vibe, the fact it's a sprawling piano laced ballad but it's not as angsty. It's kind of got a more driving pace, maybe like Speed Of Sound or Inside Job when it kicks in. When it finally gets to the proper chorus towards the second half of the song it is very melodic - the kind of melody they have shyed away from for years, the vocals are immaculate.

In terms of comparing it to other artists, I hear some Pink Floyd, the piano at times reminds me of November Rain, 80's/early 90's Springsteen, and maybe some Counting Crows.

Which will bring you back to doh! doh! doh! doh!

It really is that....whatever it is that it is....though. Comparisons draw out to so many places that you can't really capture it by saying "Oh, it's just another song like..."

Even Flow, GTF, RVM... and on and on, for me. Most of S/T works better speeded up imo. Backspacer stuff just doesn't work at all live.

I like most of backspacer. Johnny Guitar is so unique and catchy with no chorus. love it live to. Speed of sound is a set killer though. Not in a good way.
