I mean, we all said some dumb shit back then. We were young and naive and probably smelled a little better. But it’s amazing to look back and see

A. How much of the conservative mindset was eradicated the moment the presidency changed hands.

B. Some of the early warning signs of the racialist, nationalist panic to come.

C. What an absolute dumbass LittleWing was. Like, the rest of us said some dumb things, made some embarrassing comments...who could care? But LW was a special case.

The stuff that Trump says & does is ridiculous, but not surprising. Your "point A" is what has really surprised (and depressed?) me. I'm a "blue collar white dude" myself, and not surprised that many of them love him. I did not, however, think he'd be able to pull ~90% of the right half of the country into his corner this completely. As someone mentioned a few pages ago, this has to be driven by contempt for the left, and it is blinding. Trumpism is basically just a bad religion now.

I was searching for a LittleWing post recently and found that I sounded like a god damned hippie on the old board.

I mean, nobody getting compared to their persona on the old board comes off looking quite as full of shit as the people who agreed with Trump’s faux rage at Ilhan Omar’s supposed “Jewish dual loyalty” line a month or two back, and now have no thoughts to share on Trump’s warning yesterday that Democrat Jews don’t have ENOUGH dual loyalty and are therefore “disloyal,” full stop.

We've elected Jim Jones. I just hope he makes his flock drink the Kool-Aid after he loses the election.
