So far I’m not overly impressed with this album...the first 3 tracks are really good, after that I kinda started losing interest. Gonna have to give it some more time, but initial reaction is meh for the most part...nothing I really hated necessarily just haven’t really connected with much.

Something I just noticed that I like. Retrograde ends with a call to feel the sound, and River Cross ends with a call to share the light. Given the double album closer role that these songs play that's an interesting juxtaposition

Trying to limit my listens to once per day, Christ even Never Destination is getting better for me.

Only Retrograde is failing to really connect for me. They really did a great job for 30 years in

That Tool album was incredibly disappointing

Fear Inoculum is already my second favorite Tool album and waaaaaaaaay better than Gigaton

1st 4 songs are good. Got me too excited.
Alright was appropriately named, just tolerable
7 o Clock - too cheesey with the synth, probably better live when they hopefully drop some of that production
Never Destination - boring song until the last 30 seconds which has a killer ending bridge phase
Take the Long Way - boring song until the last 30 which has a killer ending bridge phase
Buckle Up - Perhaps worst PJ song ever
Comes Then Goes - It's ok but goes on too long
Retrograde - Really grown on me, think it's a good'n
River Cross - It's okay, goes on bit too long.

Overall better than Backspacer I'd say but not as good as LB or Avocado that's for sure.

I'm wondering how a lot of this album will come across live, there's a lot of synth / keys and backin vocals.

Has Gigaton been sent to any Zunes yet? Need to know how that community is feeling the sound.

i gave it about 5 listens and nothing stood out. I wasnt a big fan of 10000 Days either though
