The brilliance of Predator 2 is that they understood what made Predator 1 work so well.

The first one is a Dirty Dozen/Rambo war movie where an alien randomly shows up and wrecks everyone's shit.

The second is a Dirty Harry/Death Wish movie where an alien randomly shows up and wrecks everyone's shit.

Plus it adds Bill Paxton and Gary Busey.

-He is much more powerful than the humans
-He picks people off one by one
-He doesn’t talk
-The special effects makeup is unbelievably good

I could not disagree more. There is so much more that goes into making the first one special. John McTiernan is a huge piece of it.

It's a fine film and a worthy addition to the Predator universe. You need to watch it again and take notes this time so you don't get confused again.
