Also, speaking to one's need/right to rehabilitate... Larry Johnson's thoughts on Hunt are on point and powerful. I never thought I'd be team LJ again but... damn.

Chiefs cut Hunt.
That's the right move.

Funny you say that, I was having Lev Bell nightmares. A two year, $30ish million deal while they free ride on Mahomes's contract makes sense for KC.durdencommatyler wrote:Though, now I'm having Lev Bell fantasies.

I'd much rather invest in a secondary or O line help long term... but in the immediate it really seems possible. Especially given Reid's proclivities.

Re: 2018 NFL Season
Why is every NFL reporter on an all out blitz protecting the league here? It’s not Ray Rice!!! Um, outside of the goofy suspension from Goodell it’s exactly the same.
They knew of a video in February. TMZ obviously bought the video. They don’t have TMZ money?
Obviously everyone hoped no one would see it. They are so bad at this.
For that matter where are the NFL reporters that this is the first we’re hearing on this?
TMZ is the news breaker in sports now I guess.

Re: 2018 NFL Season
Consider this:
Deflategate: Jan. 18, 2015 - Patriots accused; Investigation opens Jan. 19, 2015; Wells report issued in May
Kareem Hunt beats woman in hotel in Feb 2018; ‘Investigation’ finds zero; Nov. 30, 2018 - TMZ discovers video and Chiefs cut him
What a joke.

Re: 2018 NFL Season
The chiefs mansplained their way out of it by claiming Hunt was dishonest with them about what was actually on the video, which they did not see until yesterday.

Re: 2018 NFL Season
I still find it laughable that TMZ gladly finds some doof that wants cash and they easily obtain the videos.
The richest sports league in the world and legions of reporters/shills, apparently can’t.
It wasn’t even a story until yesterday.

Ian Rappaport reported that the NFL tried to get the video but the hotel claimed it was their policy to only give the footage to law enforcement, and no one other than law enforcement.Electromatic wrote:I still find it laughable that TMZ gladly finds some doof that wants cash and they easily obtain the videos.

The point is there's more effort put into an investigation into deflated footballs vs. violence against women.durdencommatyler wrote:Ian Rappaport reported that the NFL tried to get the video but the hotel claimed it was their policy to only give the footage to law enforcement, and no one other than law enforcement.Electromatic wrote:I still find it laughable that TMZ gladly finds some doof that wants cash and they easily obtain the videos.

Re: 2018 NFL Season
It’s almost like they hired the NCAA. I understand their position is that they aren’t the police, but what you just illustrated is why getting (buying) that tape is important. They need to rectify that in February. The real issue with deflate gate was that there was an investigation at all. Hell, dock him 15 grand and move on in 10 minutes. Or a playoff game check if you want to be serious. Change the leagues procedures. They do not understand public relations.Coach wrote:The point is there's more effort put into an investigation into deflated footballs vs. violence against women.durdencommatyler wrote:Ian Rappaport reported that the NFL tried to get the video but the hotel claimed it was their policy to only give the footage to law enforcement, and no one other than law enforcement.Electromatic wrote:I still find it laughable that TMZ gladly finds some doof that wants cash and they easily obtain the videos.
