thought that was established many episodes ago when he said - more or less - "they were kind enough to take me in"?
Right but that could have been interpreted a few ways. Plus my comment was more to wondering if they'll explore that aspect more.

- 'do the magic hand thing'

I liked the second ep better than the first. I’m fully onboard with the main theme music. The rest is pedestrian. I think my expectations going in were too high in terms of the narrative and thus I’m left a bit wanting at the story being told thus far, i.e. “when is this show going to kick into high gear?” The stakes feel too low. I’m probably judging it too harshly and need to give it time to develop.
Each episode is better than the last. I liked the score throughout in E3. Agree with everything durdencommatyler said. Action sequences are good but clunky. I expect Mandos to fight at Jason Bourne speed. They all moved like overweight chonks with jetpacks. WHEN CAN I BUY THE ALL-BESKAR MANDO ACTION FIGURE?
I enjoyed this ep but it was not an improvement. I'm still struggling to reconcile my expectations and desire for higher stakes with what we're being given (though I recognize high stakes may be right in front of our faces with Baby Yoda and what his existence could mean). I'm in love with the theme song. Gina Carano is not good at acting. The script isn't doing her any favors either. The bar server's performance made Gina Carano look like Meryl Streep (FYI: that was Josh Gad's wife).
Episode 5 looked good. That’s about all I can say that’s positive. The show is fine for what it is but this isn’t what I was hoping for (stakes, plot, darker tone, good acting, a good score, Ewoks, etc.). The whole affair feels way too conservative.
That was a fun episode from top to bottom. Looked great.
Great episode. Tons of fun and a big improvement tonally. It was not Carl Weathers’ finest hour acting-wise.

Was that Robin Quivers in the bar?
Solid ep to end season one. I had no idea what the darksaber was other than reading vague outlines online so that didn’t have much of an effect on me. Overall, this was a rocky season. I hope they’ve learned some things — I have high expectations for season 2.

Another great episode. I really do think you could cut this season into a cool movie.
(dropping 99% of the two-three worst episodes).

well, yeah it was fine. Some good moments...but half of the season was a waste. And basically this ends kinda the same as ep 3. I was really hoping they would take this guy into more stuff.

Some cool moments from an overall half baked show.

Easily the best part of the episode. And has Jon Favreau written all over it.

I really wanted to love this. I imagined myself waiting with anticipation each week for a new episode and pouring over discussions about it.

It fell way short of what I was hoping for. It’s Star Wars but unique enough where it often times didn’t feel like Star Wars in sight and sound. At the same time it’s also what made it interesting. There is a disconnect for me.

Ultimately I think the storylines were mostly weak and this could easily drag on for 10 seasons with little actually being explored.

and every season's last episode is a lore reveal just so you keep everyone thinking it's bigger than it is.
