I’ll be honest, if they don’t cancel the euro dates then it becomes fair to question whether this was a political statement and not about safety.

It's a fair question to ask, there wasn't any "concern" when Ed's wife went to India just last week.

Did you really just compare one persons travel to that of 20,000 people descending on a city for a concert?

Lowlight, c'mon on man.

Let's get real here, it's a virus, that most people ARE recovering from, there are hard hit areas in the world, but it's not a plague. Speaking as someone who has two parents in nursing homes currently, I have plenty of reason to worry, but it's not much different from any other virus out there right now. It does affect certain age groups more than others and people should take precautions. But postponing a tour for it, it's ridiculous.

It's more an issue of timing than anything. There were fewer than 100 cases in the US last Sunday. Now there are 700+. That number will be much higher by the time the tour would hit the states. Maybe it will be under control in a month or two, but not in 2-3 weeks.

I don't see the point of giving into the hysteria, and yeah, it is affecting me personally based on my family. I didn't even have tickets to any shows, the postponement does allow me to hopefully get to a show when they get rescheduled sometime in 2025.

strat, the mayor of Denver said yesterday he still wants people to congregate in large groups and not stay inside. And he's mad that PJ cancelled the shows.

LOL.

Cancelling concerts, while disappointing, should be the least of your concern, and if you are getting mad about it, well, lol. Whether you believe it is real or a "hoax", it is here and affecting every day life. Hell, I may be out of a job by summer's end if all these conferences and trade shows keep cancelling.

i wonder if that drove ed nuts at first, being as though he professed to be a very personal guy that liked to play things closely to the vest. but that's a different discussion for a different day.

Something I can actually chime in on! Here's the challenge when something becomes a pandemic or is becoming a pandemic. If you have a severe reaction of x amount, including death rate - logically the more people that get sick , the more the system has to deal with that x amount. You can model the possible outcomes to say that if there's zero intervention from public health, that the infection rate 'could' be anywhere from 70-80% of the population. When they start implementing measures, the number starts to go down. Some of those measures are social distancing and unfortunately canceling events that have a large congregation of people in one area. When you have a virus that has no vaccine, it is all the more important to implement some of the measures we are seeing and doing it sooner than later. Mainly to halt the constant increase of cases that happen with zero measures.

They are doing the right thing. And they are leading the way in terms of artists stepping up. It is something to applaud rather than show disdain.

Neither here nor there, and I do appreciate you do have concern for your vulnerable family, but it is imperative to have the percentages go down for their exposure to = possible instead of likely.

My two cents. Lets ride it out and enjoy the shows when they are able to happen. I would however, like them to put the album out sooner as a gift ;)

They should still do a live broadcast form their warehouse. Make that show happen and let us in on it.

Totally - in trying times, music can heal. So lets go PJ. Live stream a run through of the album and then release it next day. This week please ;)

Obviously, agreed.

Also, please avoid non-refundable anything on your vacations, folks.
