And Chris is still right. As a person who is impacted by physical issues this dude should know how important those spaces are to people in that situation and be conscious to make sure others have that access available.

Seems like Chris might be on to something. Hey because you’re a lawyer, what is the California penal code or whatever on this? You can prove your point right there. That being said however, this definitely feels like a Larry David kind of grievance. Some things you might be better off to just let slide.

because the purpose of having a placard is to make it easier to walk to and from the place to where you drove. he wasn't using it for that purpose. he was just using it to park close so his daughter didn't have walk as far. and he was monopolizing the spot so it couldn't be used by someone who could have legitimately needed it.

i think he was abusing his privileges.
I just walked into this thread. I haven't read the whole thing, but clearly, Chris is right. Why is everyone arguing against him?

Accessible parking is to make it easier for people with disabilities to get to their location, not so that their able body kids don't have to walk as far to get picked up. Users of the park with disabilities are suddenly cut off from equal access.

Damned if I'd confront a person for this, but it's clearly the inferior moral choice to take that spot.

Yeah I’m seriously questioning my name change verdict right now because if Chris is wrong it’s not like that obvious or anything.

im 100% team chris on this. if his friend parked and went and met his daughter it is fine. but to park and wait for his kid is gaming the system.

Does his disability involve difficulty sitting and waiting in the car?

He’s probably not the ideal person to save his daughter from scraping her knee on the sidewalk. Pretty sure someone else can help her up if she falls.

Have you considered someone with an equally hard life might need that spot who intends to, you know, get out of the car?
