Yeah, really crappy script. No depth to the characters. It's almost sitcom like.

Seeing hot Scarlett dress like a Jersey skank almost made up for the movie's weaknesses, but not quite. And I quite like JGL as an actor too, so hopefully he'll stick to that.

Toy Soldiers, the Red Dawn of the nineties. Starring Sean Astin and Will Wheaton as a couple of tough guys.

The ending of "3:10 to Yuma" really bothered me. Not sure how to feel about that as of yet.

"The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford", however, blew me away. I loved the pacing and acting and it was brilliantly shot. I'd even go so far as to give it an 8.25/10.

Kiefer Sutherland is the worst fucking actor. Jesus.

Love 3:10. Part of the 2007 club. Fun, well done western. The ending bothered me too when I first saw it (Bale running around on a stump leg), just seemed like a badly choreographed shootout. But I got over it. It's one of the movies I watch with my dad all the time.

Jesse James. Another 2007 release. One of the great character stories of the last 10 years. Meanders a bit in places, but you have to admire its patience. And its beautiful shots of Canada and the music? Aw, I wish I'd seen it on the big screen.

I'll every so often put on that Nick Cave soundtrack.

i saw Gravity in 3D. it was totally invigorating. you watch it and think, i want to make a film.

it's not going for technological realism. the film knows the genre and tradition its in (and makes nods to them throughout the film). if it were realism, everyone would have died in the first 30 minutes of the film.

After seeing a few movies in 3D, I decided that it wasn't worth the extra money and that it didn't really make much of a difference. Is it worth it for this movie. I haven't seen a movie yet where the 3D was able to rise above the "gimmick" level.

I loved Gravity but didn't care for the 3D aspect at all.

I saw Gravity in 2D and loved every second of it.
