Anyone else watching American Crime? Not the about OJ on FX, the one on ABC about an alleged sexual assault at a high school party. It's been good; intense but a bit of a downer at times. More often than not in the last ten minutes of an episode there's a plot twist/reveal. That happened again last night. Amazingly that was when the local affiliate ran an Emergency Broadcast System test. The beeps & buzzing, the episode was muted and the loud "This is a test..." announcement.

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Any good? I'm intrigued, but reviews have been mixed. FWIW, I loved Freaks & Geeks (which I reckon was more Paul Feig), and thought Undeclared was pretty bland.

it's pretty much every trope you've seen before with a new coat of paint. it has its moments, but I wouldn't really tell anyone to make a point of seeing it unless they're crushing on Gillian Jacobs.
