I'm far from a fan, but is it really his fault that Porcello and Price shit the bed in games 1 and 2, and the rest of his rotation sucks so he had to rely on Clay Buccholz in game 3? (and don't give me the Steven Wright argument)

That's not to say he didn't make any questionable moves (especially in game 3), I just have a hard time pinning the series on him. And believe me, I'd love to.

He's definitely far down on the list of reasons why they lost this series, but he's still a terrible manager and should be gone.

They didn't lose the game because of it, but his decision to pinch hit for Benintendi in the 6th(maybe 7th) was beyond the pale.

I kind of want Ortiz to change his mind and play one more season just so people will hopefully realize how stupid the league-wide going away parties are.

I'll probably end up being wrong, but I think the Red Sox are in on Encarnacion, despite what the beat writers at Pravda, I mean the Globe, are saying. If they really wanted Beltran as badly as the beat guys reported, they def would have matched 1/16. Same goes for Holliday. They have to do SOMETHING, and the way the market keeps shrinking for EE, I think that's where they are going. They have to know that guys like Napoli are not an option.

I think they're in on him, too. They've been too openly against spending money for it to be true.

You're going to just trade for Cabrera. You'll be fine.

This news sort of flew under the radar today without numbers having an aneurysm, so that's good, at least:

I dunno, if the cost was just eating his money I might be in on that.

If it was just money, fine I guess but I'm not comfortable relying on him in the heart of my lineup these days.
